A 25% profit increase and an ALPMA Award

I was delighted to see Brown Wright Stein Lawyers recognised for their profit-raising success at the NSW Australian Legal Practice Management Association's (ALPMA) annual end of year round up, held in Sydney on Thursday 12 December 2013.

Brown Wright Stein’s CEO Karen Appleby received the Innovation of the Year Award on behalf of the firm for its exciting business development program, which resulted in an increase in profits of more than 25 per cent.

Prodonovich Advisory worked with Brown Wright Stein to develop the firm’s fun, creative program of business development over the course of the year. This engaged every level of staff, and even saw the Managing Partner wear a Donald Trump wig in the spirit of true team work.

I was also thrilled to receive ALPMA’s Speaker of the Year Award for my presentation, Sales Ideas for Law Firms. This award is based on feedback from ALPMA members.

The third award of the evening, Best NSW Practice, went to Maurice Blackburn.

Brown Wright Stein’s business development program and Sales Ideas for Law Firms drew on global best practice and my experience in helping professional service firms to improve their client service experience, build referral networks, and win new business.

The Australasian Legal Practice Management Association, (ALPMA), is the peak body representing managers and lawyers with a legal practice management role. ALPMA provides an authoritative voice on issues relevant to legal practice management.

Award sponsors were Info Track, the Report Factory and Quick Fee
