2022 CLEAA Conference: For Legal Learning Specialists

CLEAA Continuous Legal Education Association of Australasia

The Continuing Legal Education Association of Australasia’s (CLEAA) annual conference provides a forum for learning specialists engaged with the Australasian legal sector to connect, explore ideas, exchange information, and showcase current thinking.

The 2022 conference includes these six substantive sessions online on Friday October 14th between 9:00am and 4:00pm AEDT .

Registration for CLEAA members is only $AUD 129 and for non-members $AUD 249.

  1. Reflective Practice in Practice : The New Zealand Experience.

    New Zealand has taken the lead in the introduction of reflective practice as part of a regulatory CPD framework and this panel session will explore the theory and results in the country’s Legal and Medical practices.

  3. Transformative Learning: Time to Re-write the Training Playbook?

    Dr Judi Apted will discuss the challenges transformative learning addresses and how it can be helpful for professional development in the current workplace environment.

  4. How To Protect Intellectual Property in the Digital Age

    Clayton Utz Partner, Cameron Gascoyne, will provide practical tips for the L&D function in relation to the proper and improper use of teaching aids and materials including licenses, exclusivity, permissions, recordings and other information to protect your firm and your own intellectual property assets through this new digital way of working

  5. How To Set Up Your Digital Environment For Learning Success

    A discussion with Simon Dewar, BSI Digital Learning, on technology trends in learning design and the skills we need.

  6. From Novice to Expert: Building Strategic Learning Pathways

    Career progression in law firms requires a strategic approach, thoughtful structuring and a deep understanding of the firm requirements, plus the skills and knowledge required to perform. This panel session will discuss the experiences in rolling out a strategic learning pathway in order to develop the skills and knowledge their learners needed to close skills gaps and achieve much-needed business outcomes in their organisation.
